DENISE BROWN
AUTHOR & DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ADVOCATE
Born in Germany and raised in Southern California, Denise Brown led a life remarkable only in its normalcy until June 12, 1994 when her sister, Nicole Brown Simpson, was murdered.
She is committed to raising awareness against domestic violence - a crime that kills four women every day in the United States.Since early 1995 Denise Brown has traveled to various states speaking on the epidemic of domestic violence. She has addressed university student bodies, men in prison and in batterers' treatment programs, women at risk, church groups and various educational and legislative forums. Ms. Brown has helped raise funds for local shelters all across the country with her appearances, and has assisted in the success of a major project called the Vine System. This Program is an automated victim notification service of the release of batterers from jail or prison.
As part of her commitment, Ms. Brown has worked to help pass a variety of legislative solutions for domestic violence. One of her most important projects was to lobby on behalf of the Violence Against Women Act. With a potential slashing of its federal allocation to domestic violence services, Denise Brown testified to the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee for increased funding. After her testimony, that portion of the bill's funding was increased from eighteen million to thirty-two million dollars. U.S. Senators Biden and Hatch have cited Denise Brown as "having done more for the issue of domestic violence than any other individual."
Thirty years after her sisters murder she dedicated her time along with her sisters to a Lifetime documentary “The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson” and just signed a book deal with Blackstone Publishing with the release date on October 6, 2026.

KATHY GIVENS
SOCIAL IMPACT CONSULTANT & SPEAKER
Kathy Givens is a nationally recognized social impact consultant and speaker with a strong commitment to transforming systems and elevating survivor leadership. Appointed in 2021, she formerly served on the United States Advisory Council on Human Trafficking, bringing her lived experience and subject-matter expertise to national policy conversations. She was also a founding member of the Human Trafficking Survivor Leadership Council of Texas, where she helped shape survivor-informed approaches at the state level.A seasoned trainer, Kathy specializes in survivor engagement, leadership strategies, housing, gender-based violence, human trafficking, and polyvictimization. She has trained law enforcement, service providers, and policymakers, and has spoken before faith-based organizations, politicians, and audiences ranging from international conferences to small community gatherings.
As co-founder of Twelve 11 Partners, Kathy created a trauma-informed restorative care program for adult survivors of trafficking, advancing survivor-led solutions with real-world application. In 2018, she was invited to the Oval Office to witness the signing of an anti-trafficking bill she had actively advocated for.
Currently, Kathy also serves as the Academy Program Manager at Survivor Alliance and the Lead Consultant at Shobana Powell Consulting. These roles further her commitment to empowering survivors and advancing systemic change through consulting, training, and program management.
Whether leading training sessions or delivering keynote addresses, Kathy’s message is one of resilience, action, and compassion. She utilizes her platform to disrupt harmful systems, spark meaningful dialogue, and cultivate healing-centered leadership.

SONI LEWIS
CHIEF OF THE HUMAN TRAFFICKING DIVISION,
DALLAS COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE
Soni Lewis joined the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office in February 2007 and has spent nearly two decades prosecuting complex and high-stakes criminal cases. Throughout her career, she has represented the State of Texas in thousands of cases, developing particular expertise in crimes involving vulnerable victims. She currently serves as Chief of the Human Trafficking Division, where she leads prosecutors in investigating and litigating trafficking cases, collaborates with law enforcement and community partners, and advances strategies to hold offenders accountable while centering survivor safety. -

SYBIL GREENBERG CUMMIN, MA, LPC, ACS
Sybil is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has specialized in working with victims and survivors of coercive control and domestic violence for the last decade, including the child victims in these families. She owns a small group therapy practice in Colorado and after witnessing the constant ethical issues survivors experience in the family court system while trying to protect their children she created Rising Beyond Power and Control (often referred to as The Rising Beyond Community) to help close the gaps in support for this population. Sybil hosts The Rising Beyond Podcast and is active in legislative changes in Colorado for family court reform.

DANIELLE LEUKAM
Danielle is from the Rochester, Minnesota area and works as a full-time charge nurse. She is a writer and blogger, a survivor and advocate against sexual violence, and is on the Survivor Advisory Group to the Governor of Minnesota.
Danielle helps organizations move beyond surface-level conversations by delivering survivor-led, trauma-informed speaking that equips audiences to support survivors with confidence and compassion. Through sharing her experience, she helps audiences and readers understand trauma, how to support survivors, and how to move from awareness to real, compassionate action. She’s been in that place, on the other side of the conversation. As a survivor who navigated trauma, healing, and the criminal justice system, Danielle understands firsthand what survivors may need and what systems sometimes miss. Through her lived-experience, professional speaking background, and advocacy work, she helps audiences bridge the gap between intention and impact so they leave informed, empowered, and equipped to make a difference.

DET. JOE SCARAMUCCI
Director of Law Enforcement Training & Operations, Skull Games, Inc.
Detective Scaramucci (RET) began his career in law enforcement in 2004, and was promoted to Detective in 2008 with the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office, investigating Crimes Against Persons. Since creating a Human Trafficking Unit in 2014, Detective Scaramucci has conducted sting operations resulting in the arrest of more than 680 sex buyers, more than 100 online child predators, and 163 individuals for human trafficking and related offenses, which has led to the identification of 285 trafficking victims. He has further assisted local, state, and federal agencies with operations; support, leading to the arrest of more than 300 sex buyers. In 2023 Detective Scaramucci began working as the Director of Law Enforcement Training and Operations for the non-profit Skull Games, Inc, continuing to conduct operations and investigations as a Deputy Sheriff. Detective Scaramucci has worked both state and federal investigations as a Task Force Officer with H.S.I., leading to investigations and arrests throughout the U.S. He further advises and participates in sting operations throughout Texas, the U.S. and abroad. Detective Scaramucci is certified in Courts of Law as a Subject Matter Expert in Human Trafficking. He has further advised and testified in the State House and Senate, assisting with the creation and passage of laws leading to harsher penalties for human trafficking, as well as working against laws that would have added further burdens on victims. He is further employed as a consultant, contracted to provide training and technical assistance for numerous Department of Justice-funded Enhanced Collaborative Model task forces, as well as other national and international anti-trafficking organizations. He has trained 726 agencies throughout 45 states, 33 federal and DOD agencies, as well as law enforcement agencies in 15 countries, and provides technical support for their human trafficking operations and Investigations
